Job Summary: Join our dynamic international team as a Network Administrator, where you will implement and support iLCS solutions for both new and existing customers. You will exemplify our core values and ensure fluent English communication within the international team. This role primarily involves remote work, with occasional meetings with the Italian team for brief training and updates. Your role includes monitoring existing and new installations, with potential development of Python scripting to automate processes and contribute ideas for iLCS project monitoring and control. Daily interactions for support and solutions are essential. At iLCS, we focus on collaborative growth, requiring you to educate and train colleagues on high-level issues.
Key Responsibilities: - Monitor, maintain, and optimize iLCS telco devices used in smart city environments.
- Develop and maintain Python scripts and backend tools for automation of network processes and sensor management.
- Support and administer Linux-based iLCS cloud infrastructure.
- Diagnose and resolve network and device issues reported by users or monitoring systems.
- Perform daily maintenance and ensure overall system operability.
- Manage user accounts, roles, and access policies.
- Analyze field data to improve system performance and reliability.
- Propose, design, and implement network infrastructure improvements.
- Contribute to the design and documentation of network and telecom system architectures.
- Configure and support VPN and firewall solutions (e.g., OpenVPN, iptables, Mikrotik).
- Participate in internal knowledge sharing and training sessions to enhance team capabilities.
Required Knowledge and Experience: - Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Proven experience in network administration, including installation and maintenance of network equipment (routers, switches, wireless systems, firewalls).
- Strong proficiency in Python for network monitoring, provisioning automation, sensor platform integration, and script development for distributed systems.
- Linux server administration experience, preferably with Debian-based systems.
- Experience with OpenVPN and firewall configuration/troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with distributed system monitoring and automation best practices.
- Basic knowledge of wireless networking principles (e.g., radio propagation, link budget).
- Configuration experience with Mikrotik RouterOS.
- Cloud or virtualized environments experience is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

- Technical certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Mikrotik MTCNA/MTCRE, or Linux Professional Certification are advantageous.
