Treasury liquidity specialist

Overview

We are looking for a Treasury Liquidity Specialist based in Italy to join a fully remote, globally distributed team focused on financial inclusion and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage liquidity and cash movements across multiple currencies (USD, EUR, GBP, etc.).
• Execute local and offshore fund transfers, including wire, ACH and SWIFT payments, within approved limits.
• Perform fiat‑to‑stablecoin and stablecoin‑to‑fiat conversions with liquidity‑provider trading desks.
• Monitor bank and liquidity‑provider balances daily, identify shortfalls and act proactively to avoid payment or settlement disruptions.
• Support liquidity planning, projections, capital‑cycle management, repayments and broader treasury activities.
• Maintain relationships with banking partners and liquidity providers, coordinating wallet whitelisting and infrastructure changes.
• Track counter‑party and settlement risk, escalating issues promptly.
• Reconcile bank and liquidity‑provider statements, investigate discrepancies and keep complete documentation.
• Contribute to month‑end close, prepare treasury dashboards and liquidity‑related reporting.
• Handle operational support such as customer refunds, funding approvals for expenses and payroll, and urgent liquidity requirements.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Finance, Compliance, Product and Engineering teams on incidents, market launches and new products.
• Document processes, share knowledge and cross‑train with other treasury team members to ensure operational resilience.

Requirements

• 3‑5 years of hands‑on treasury or liquidity‑operations experience, preferably in a crypto exchange, stablecoin or fintech environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field; advanced qualifications (CA, SA, CIMA, CGMA, CFA) are a plus.
• Multi‑market liquidity expertise, managing fiat and crypto stablecoins across multiple banks and providers.
• Experience with wire, ACH and SWIFT payments and spot FX or stablecoin conversions.
• Familiarity with crypto custody, settlement platforms and major stablecoins (USDC, USDT).
• Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with treasury management systems or automation tools is a plus.
• General regulatory awareness for crypto‑asset service providers.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work primarily during US business hours.
